SYNOPSIS

I had the fun opportunity to design the Verizon FiOS Xbox One App, giving FiOS subscribers who own an Xbox One the convenience of merging both platforms together.  I wanted to make TV listings, the ability to bookmark your favorite channels, and search easy to access for the user.  TV listings and Search can be a slow and difficult process using a traditional TV remote, so having these prominently displayed on the home page was a no brainer.  The “Add to Favorites” feature was an essential progression from the standard TV Listings as it allows users to quickly access the channels they tend to watch the most, rather than waste time having to sift through a long list of hundreds of channels.  The classic Verizon categories that FiOS subscribers are familiar with are also represented on the home screen, allowing them to filter all channels that cater to a particular genre and see a real time preview of what is currently on at that time via thumbnails.  Front and center in the home screen, are the six most recently watched channels, with the most recently watched channel being the hero image.  Shows currently airing on these channels are displayed in real time.
