Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to be the wedding Photographer for my friend Lindsay Spanek. Lindsay and I worked at Outback Steakhouse together about 13 years ago as of this writing. Since that time, we have graduated college, dived into our respective careers, and gone on various adventures as young adults, periodically checking in on each other to say “hi” and see what all is new with each other. Several months ago, I received a call from Lindsay, who asked if I was available to shoot her wedding and it took me about .00001 seconds to make a decision on that! Lindsay and Peter decided to have an outdoor wedding in Pacifica, specifically at the Villa Montara. For those of you who have never been to the San Francisco Bay Area, Pacifica is a gorgeous area, tucked “behind” the city of San Francisco and is home to spectacular views of the bay. Upon seeing Lindsay getting primped and pampered, I temporarily forgot that she was getting married and instead focused for a moment on a friend who I hadn’t seen in over a decade. Doing gigs like this is special to me as there is already a connection that enhances the overall relationship between the subject and Photographer. Overall the wedding was very lovely and I wish nothing but the best for the newlyweds!
