UX/UI Design
Concept ideation, wireframes, design comps, and a fully functional interactive mobile game using After Effects, Photoshop, and Microsoft Expression Blend.
Creative Direction
Worked with Sean Byers, brainstorming ideas for character interactions, quest adventures, and multiple ending scenarios.
Sound Editing
Selected the music for the game and edited the sound FX for the gameplay as well as the cinematics.
Narrative Cinematics
2.5D graphic novel motion graphics using Microsoft Expression Blend / Silverlight to tell Steve’s story.
Creative Writing
Worked with Todd Imus, helping write the script for the character exchanges during memorable island encounters.
Marketing / Branding
Graphic design assets for the Apple Store and social media channels in one cohesive strategy.
ADVENTURE AWAITS
Inspired By The Secret Of Monkey Island
The team consisted of big fans of Tim Schafer's old school LucasArts point and click adventure titles such as The Secret Of Monkey Island, Day Of The Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango. So, we set out to emulate some of the unique charm found in those games.

Taking a cue from Tim Schafer’s LucasArts titles, I created multiple dialogue paths gamers could take when engaging NPCs to elicit memorable banter.




GAME EXPERIENCE
THE GAME LOOP

Our game loop consisted of meeting colorful characters, who send gamers on fetch quests for items of interest they have lost or have heard tales of somewhere under the sea, gathering gold and other materials they can later spend at merchant stores to upgrade their gear with, and eventually retrieving those items in order to unlock more storytelling, new characters, and new locations to explore.
